The Freshman Year Planning Session is a meeting between the student (and parents, if desired) and an experienced college counselor that will provide a roadmap for a successful freshman year.
At this point, there are two main areas of focus: emphasizing the importance of strong study habits and ensuring that all options remain open as the student progresses through high school.
From course planning to an evaluation of the various extracurricular activities available to the student—along with an emphasis on how to excel during this exciting new period—this session is a great way to start high school with a strong momentum that can be maintained throughout the student's high school career.
